Rasha Khouri

Rasha Khouri is the Middle Eastern Mark Zuckerberg of retail.

A businesswoman more than a fashionista, she has an entrepreneurship approach to all her endeavors. And it shows, the American Palestinian is already a success with not one, but two websites under her Celine belt. With her trademark silver hair, Khouri is often requested to make the rounds as a specialist speaker on fashion, technology and business at leading educational establishments and conferences.

Now a seasoned expert, Khouri first launched her career as an investment banker at JP Morgan in New York. From there, she merged her interest in fashion with finance as a luxury goods analyst with Merrill Lynch and UBS, in London. In 2010, it was time for her to do her own thing. Before “East-meets-West” became the most overused cliché, Khouri launched DIA-BOUTIQUE.com, an e-commerce site with uniquely curated selection of international products targeting the modern Arab woman.

Discerning a niche in the digital e-commerce space for a luxury e-tailer with a product mix aimed at modern nomad such as herself, The Financial Times even went as far as to place it under its 2010 list of Best Fashion Websites in the Middle East.

This year, Khouri dove even further into the online world, with the launch of DIA-style.com, a new bilingual, social commerce site for the Middle East for the global fashionista. The site is a welcome enabler to international fashion addicts, delivering fresh, in-season fashion from independent luxury designers and retailers from around the world.
