September 2014 – Dubai, United Arab Emirates | From the leather houses of Milan to the laboratories of L.A., Level Shoe District is taking a peek behind the scenes of its exclusive brands to celebrate the intricate art of shoemaking.
From mid-September, Level Shoe District will launch ‘Shoe Atelier’ – a two-month long in-store campaign highlighting the beautiful craftsmanship behind its new Autumn/Winter 2014 collections.
With inspiration taken directly from the ateliers of some of the world’s most recognised designers, Level Shoe District will transform itself into a walk-through engaging workshop featuring fun, story-telling exhibits that see the hottest new trends from must-have brands transported back to the shoemakers’ studio.
‘Piece-by-piece’ pop-ups throughout the store will show shoephiles that behind the fast world of luxury fashion is a slow and precise craft. Sketches, stitch work and the secrets of this season’s most stylish shoes will be presented alongside a careful curation of the tools, patterns and fabrics used to create them, bringing each department of Level Shoe District to life and showcasing Autumn/Winter’s must-haves as miniature masterpieces.
As well as traditional craftsmanship, ‘Shoe Atelier’ will also be looking towards the future of the industry, exploring Nike’s innovative techniques and inviting leading high heel designers United Nude to create 3D printed shoes in store.
With exclusive brand participation from the likes of Aquazzura Firenze, Bally, Berluti, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Harrys of London, Hunter, Magnanni, Nike, Oliver Sweeney and United Nude as well as British luxury shoe designer Nicholas Kirkwood’s largest pop-up at Level Shoe District yet, ‘Shoe Atelier’s’ exciting, back-to-back activations will take place each weekend until mid-November for all to enjoy.
