Minimalist designers made waves this season at NYFW, and we’ve rounded up our favourites for you.
Alexander Wang
After a remarkably short stint with Balenciaga, Wang left to focus on his own collection – and the anticipation for his SS16 collection was incredibly high. His collection brought new life into the label, featuring deconstructed denim, silk pyjamas, sexy slip dresses, and military jackets.
If you couldn’t pinpoint a concept here, that’s because there wasn’t one. Wang stated that the garments reintegrated his street style.
Rag and Bone
David Neville and Marcus Wainright offered a complete throwback to the 90’s with their latest collection. Slip dresses, mesh and metallics, oversized pockets, rave sportswear and hoop earrings showed a minimal, yet very thought out street style collection with a big influence from the streets of Japan, and English 90’s/00’s rave culture.
