From the prettiest girls in pink, to the biggest news in the fashion world in a while, we bring you the break down of the Spring/Summer 2014 (SS14) season.
Biggest trends:
- florals, pink
- embellishment
- coats
- underwear and bras
- logos
- off the shoulder
- bomber jackets
We love:
The incorporation of dance in the shows. From Jean Paul Gaultier‘s “Grease Lightening” recreation to Alber Elbaz breaking it down at the end of both the Lanvin commercial and runway show.
We’re also obsessing over:
Alaia’s exhibitions at the Musée Galliera and the Musée d’Art Moderne, which featured the designer’s greatest creations. One word: stunning.
We’re not into:
Harry Styles being the focus of all the paparazzi (sorry 1D-ers). We love style stalking our favorite celebs, but hate when the greatest celebrations of fashion turn into celeb-spotting competitions. We have all year to do that.
We’re sad over:
Marc Jacobs leaving Louis Vuitton.
We’re excited to see:
The newbies. Younger models like Mathilda Lowther, Sam Rollinson, Sasha Russ were impressive on the runway, but everyone is still obsessing over Cara, who opened for Chanel.
