They walked down the runways of Versace and Proenza Schouler and now you’ll find it at Jimmy Choo and Stuart Witzmen.
The basic gladiator sandal was interpreted in new and innovative ways this season. Altuzarra created a fierce pair of gladiator heels while Alexander Wang created a minimalistic version of the shoe.
The next trend is see-through detailing. It started with Christian Louboutin and now you can see it on the campaign ads for Valentino and Chanel.

Many designers are also creating a transparent Lucite heel. Lucite is a clear plastic and this spring you will see it everywhere from shoes to jewelry and purses. I personally love a shoe with a clear lucite heel – It look as though you are walking on air.
