Every year a brand-new set of models is given the opportunity to walk the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, and this year’s class is bolder than ever. With the girls taking to social media to express their excitement, and some of the industry’s biggest stars gearing up for debuts on the Victoria’s Secret runway, the 2016 show will be filled with fresh talent.
We’re exactly just ten days away since the big show, so let the countdown begin! Get to know more about the models set to walk for the first time, from Alanna Arrington to Zuri Tibby:
1- Alanna Arrington
A former high school basketball player, Alanna Arrington was discovered by Jeff and Mary Clarke, the duo who first spotted Victoria’s Secret alum Karlie Kloss. A self-confessed Harry Potter nerd, Arrington has spent the last year as one of the world’s most in-demand runway models.
2- Bella Hadid
As one of the most famous first-timers, Bella Hadid needs no introduction. Following in the footsteps of big sister Gigi, Bella makes her Victoria’s Secret debut this year in Paris.
3- Brooke Perry
All-American blonde Brooke Perry has been making a name for herself with her work for Victoria’s Secret’s Pink line for the past year, so it’s only natural that she’d appear as part of the big show. Taking to Snapchat to announce her achievement, Perry could not hide her excitement.
Revealing her Victoria’s Secret moment in the cutest manner possible, Dilone took to the streets of New York City sporting angel wings in celebration. When she isn’t walking for Versace and Balenciaga, Dilone can be found working on her musical talents—she’s a rapper, too.
5- Georgia Fowler
Signed to an agency as a tween after her big sister was scouted, New Zealander Georgia Fowler is a modeling industry veteran before her 25th birthday. Making a splash this season on the runway for Miuccia Prada at Miu Miu, Fowler will be introduced to a whole new audience once she walks Victoria’s Secret.
6- Grace Elizabeth
Already noted as a rising star with crossover potential, Grace Elizabeth continues to prove she’s got what it takes. The Florida native’s versatile appeal has seen her do everything from open Tory Burch’s Spring 2017 show to appearing in the pages of Vogue.
7- Herieth Paul
Though she’s been modeling since 2010, Herieth Paul experienced a breakthrough this year snagging a Maybelline New York contract, work with Proenza Schouler, and now Victoria’s Secret. More than just a beautiful face, Paul devotes her time (and a portion of her income) to providing educations for the girls of the orphanage run by her mother back home in Tanzania.
8- Jourdana Elizabeth
After causing a sensation on the runway at Anthony Vaccarello’s first Saint Laurent show, Jourdana Phillips and her platinum Afro brought something different to Paris Fashion Week. Until recently, Phillips sported a very different look with long brown curls, but the distinctive change has helped to push her career to the next level.
9- Keke Lindgard
When you’ve already been the face of Gucci, Ralph Lauren, and DKNY, how do you top that? For Hawaiian babe Keke Lindgard, Victoria’s Secret represents the next phase of her career and the continuation of her impressive momentum.
10 – Lais Oliviera
Just when you thought you knew all of Victoria’s Secret’s bombshells, along comes a new beauty like Lais Oliveira. A regular presence within the catalog, Oliveira now joins Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Lais Ribeiro as a member of the brand’s Brazilian squad.
11- Lameka Fox
Discovered on Instagram by entering IMG’s We Love Your Genes contest, Lameka Fox has moved on from training horses with her family to walking for the biggest designers on earth. After spending the Spring 2017 season on the runway for Stella McCartney, Yeezy, Miu Miu, and more, Fox is ready for her Victoria’s Secret close-up.
12- Luma Grothe
One look at Luma Grothe and you understand why she’s been on the brand’s radar; her striking good looks speak for themselves, yet Grothe wasn’t always on a path to be a model. It took plenty of convincing from her best friend before she entered a local contest, but she was signed shortly thereafter. Currently, a L’Oréal Paris spokeswoman and the face of labels like Dolce & Gabbana, Grothe’s success proves that BFFs know best.
13- Maggie Laine
First spotted on Facebook by the photographer Sammie Saxon, Maggie Laine has been a model with a mission ever since. Back in 2014, she told Italian Vogue that she wants to walk for Victoria’s Secret, land the cover of Sports Illustrated, and become a physical therapist. With her VS confirmation, she’s already tackled one goal and put herself on the path toward completing the rest.
14- Megan Williams
Already well-known online, thanks to her popular Instagram account, stints in Sports Illustrated, and her status as a Guess Girl, Megan Williams could be the brand’s next big British star.
15- Xiao Wen Ju
As the perfect person to bring a bit of cuteness to the Victoria’s Secret runway, Xiao Wen Ju has been providing fashion with adorable moments for more than five years. Already established in the modeling industry with campaigns, beauty contracts, and international Vogue covers under her belt, the beauty will have a chance to break out one of her trademark faces—or show a sexier side—at the brand’s show.
16- Zuri Tibby
As the first black spokesmodel of Pink, Zuri Tibby has helped to bring in a new era for the sporty label. Discovered at her local mall, Tibby went from working at a playground to posing next to Rihanna in her ads for Stance. Promoting the brand across the country at colleges, Tibby has proved herself a fun and engaging face of Pink, qualities she’s sure to bring to the stage once she’s on the runway in Paris.
