Summer is finally here and it’s that time of the year again where we establish a life rule to skip the classic black and dark reds, and wave hello to bright colors! (Yes, we’re looking at you neon brights).

We’ve scoured through the online fashion community and followed key fashion influencers that will surely make you want to steal their wardrobe.

Lissa Kahayon certainly lives up to her blog name, Scene Stealer, as she takes on the streets of Manila with her whimsical outfit choices and stand out wardrobe pieces. Born and raised in the Philippines, Lissa keeps her everyday life interesting as a Fashion Blogger, Stylist, Model, and Entrepreneur. She does this by adding statement pieces and mixing these with popping and bold colors and prints to her outfit choices, while still keeping in mind to dress comfortably to suit the intense tropical country weather.

Flexible. It’s the word we have decided to describe Lissa’s style with. Everybody who has wandered through the pages of her blog can attest that she can go from sweet chic to strictly edgy, and from classy minimalist to fun and fearless.

What we like about her is that, despite many people religiously following trends and style icons which have been overflowing endlessly in the online community, Lissa always manages to emphasize that her fashionable outfit choices are her own, which is fast helping her to become one of the top style icons in the Philippines.

How would you describe your personal style?

It’s versatile, unpredictable and very bipolar.

Rachel Zoe, the Olsen twins, my fellow bloggers and Anna Dello Russo – they’re all very bold and they’re not afraid to express themselves. They effortlessly stand out in a crowd no matter what they’re wearing!

Do you have a favorite piece in your wardrobe? What is it?

My black corset and my blazers. I can wear them over and over again and they’re the easiest pieces to style!

What’s your fashion must-have for this season?

Definitely anything black & white! And since it’s summer, I’m going to stock up on a lot of bikinis and summer dresses!

What advice would you give to people who want to go out and dress fashionably despite the hot summer weather?

Keep it simple and fuss free! It’s easy to look chic in sundresses and sandals. It’s too hot out so comfort is KEY. Stock up on cute pairs of flats/sandals and colored accessories to add interest to your outfit.
